Web sites which are well organized and lead you to other web sites can be very useful. Suggestions for use of two of sites which do this have already appeared in this blog: http://about.com and http://lii.org (the librarians guide to the internet) remain as excellent examples of imposing order on the chaos of the web.
Two more should be mentioned: http://www.libraryspot.com is one and http://www.educationindex.com/index.html is another. Both of these sites provide a “directory approach” as well as a search feature which allow you to locate information by general or specific topic. These four sites taken individually or together can help you manage your searching of the web and can save you a great deal of time.
