Now that the Spring 2016 semester is over it's time to gear up for Summer classes! Our hours will be different during the Summer. We will be closed Saturday, May 7 (Commencement day!) and Sunday, May 8. Starting May 9 we will be open:

• Monday thru Thursday: 7AM - 7PM
• Fridays: 7AM - 6PM
• Saturdays & Sundays: 10AM - 6PM

• Sunday, March 20: CLOSED
• Monday, March 21 through Friday, March 25: 8:00 am to 6 pm
• Saturday, March 26: CLOSED

If the sun doesn't shine that week you can always stream movies or cozy up with an eBook from our catalog.

Spring Semester at Albertsons Library!

We're excited to have you back on campus and to showcase what resources are available to you. We strive to make your research and study spaces as comfortable and useful as possible, so here's what you can find at the library:

Intersession hours at the Albertsons Library

The library and the rest of the Boise State campus will be closed during the Winter Break. The library will be open limited hours during the Winter Intersession:

Friday, Dec. 18: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Saturday, Dec. 19 & Sunday, Dec. 20: CLOSED
Monday, Dec. 21: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Tuesday, Dec. 22: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Wednesday, Dec. 23: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Thursday, Dec. 24 through Saturday, Jan. 2/2016: CLOSED

Intersession hours will begin on Sunday, Jan. 3 when we will be open from 10 am to 6 pm. See our calendar page for our complete list of operating hours.

Library hours during the Thanksgiving holiday

The Albertsons Library will have reduced hours during the Thanksgiving holiday break. The library will be open:

• Sunday, Nov. 22: 10 am - 6 pm
• Monday, Nov. 23: 8 am - 5 pm
• Tuesday, Nov. 24: 8 am - 5 pm
• Wednesday, Nov. 25: 8 am - 5 pm
• Thursday Nov. 26 through through Saturday Nov. 28th: CLOSED

Library Hours During Finals

The Albertsons Library will be open 24 hours a day during Dead AND Finals week starting Monday, April 27th. The first and second floors will remain open too, which includes the library's computer classroom (L 203) and its 30 additional computers.

Library hours: 

• Monday, 4/27 : Open at 7 am and close at midnight on Friday, 5/1
• Saturday, 5/2: Open at 10 am to midnight
• Sunday, 5/3: Open at 10 am and close at 7 pm on Thursday, 5/7
• Friday, 5/8: Open 8 am to 5 pm
• CLOSED Saturday, 5/9 and Sunday 5/10

During the late night hours staff will be on hand to answer questions and check out first-floor reserve materials. Cram Snacks (free coffee and treats) will be provided each night (while supplies last!) by the Associated Students of Boise State University (ASBSU). An officer from the Boise Police Department will be on duty in the library all night and can provide escort service as needed.

Library Closed on Memorial Day

Extended Library Hours for Dead Week & Finals

Special Collections and Archives for the people!

We’ve been lucky to have a few recent opportunities to share our collections with fellow Boise State employees as well as local community members:

A selection of our Basque materials were on display at an event hosted by the Cenarrusa Foundation for Basque Culture in the Capitol building: 

Three kindergarten students from Vista Montessori School visited with their teacher to study current and historic maps of Idaho and Boise:

As part of the “Places You’ve Never Been” series hosted by the Boise State Professional Staff Association, approximately 30 staff members were given a behind-the-scenes tour of the Archives and viewed some of our favorite items from the collection. (Did you know there's a piece of the original blue turf in the Archives??):

Let us know if you and your pals want to visit and check out some of our Boise State and local historic treasures. We’re on the 2nd floor of the Albertsons library and we’re open Monday thru Friday from 9 to 5—except Wednesdays when we’re open until 8pm!

Library Closed for Presidents' Day

The Boise State campus will be closed for the Presidents' Day holiday on Monday, February 17th 2014. Our hours and online collections can be accessed at http://library.boisestate.edu/.
