When you get a chance, check out the new "Focus the Nation" exhibit outside Special Collections on the second floor of the library. Focus the Nation is a national teach-in, in which Boise State is taking part, to foster discussion about issues and solutions related to climate change.
We are one of over 1,550 institutions nationwide and 19 in Idaho that will be sponsoring events and conversations this month on these issues. The project culminates on January 31st with one-day, national symposia held simultaneously on campuses across the country. For more information, visit the national website or Boise State's site, which includes a schedule of campus events on January 30th and 31st.
Albertsons Library's exhibit features information about Focus the Nation, a selection of books and resources about climate change from the library's collection, and facts and statistics related to recycling on campus. If you didn't realize it, recycling is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint and thus your impact on global warming.
I hope you enjoy the exhibit and Boise State's Focus the Nation events! If you have any comments about it, please feel free to add them below.
